    Transdev Services, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Clerk for their fixed route service in Lorton, VA.    Join Transdev at Lorton, VA and become a part of the largest private-sector operator of transportation in North America one that cares about its employees, passengers and the communities they serve.

    Under general supervision, the maintenance clerk will handle general office duties as required.

     

    Responsibilities

    1. Handle tag renewals/title work for all vehicles at every location.
    2. Responsible for picking up tag renewals and title copies from the DMV.
    3. File work order reports for shop area.
    4. File vehicle inspection reports.
    5. File PM reports and registrations.
    6. Handle shop and body shop supply orders.
    7. Handle package pickups for the shop area.
    8. Oversee the storage room area for moving boxes.
    9. Drop off and pickup parts.
    10. Assist with some administrative duties.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma required.
    • A minimum of two year’s clerical experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of general record keeping.
    • Ability to interpret and apply instructions and guidelines to specific situations.
    • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
    • Ability to work as a member of a team.
    • Ability to maintain records and files.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
    • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
    • Must be able to demonstrate poise, tactfulness, and diplomacy, and have a high level of interpersonal skills in order to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • 50% of work is accomplished in doors in a garage setting.
    • 50% of work is accomplished in various weather conditions.
    • Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and repetitive hand-wrist motion.
