  • Overview

    The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that patient transportation needs are met. The Quality Inspector will also resolve scheduling problems, provider issues and complaints, and makes sure transportation provider meets their contractual requirements.


    • Visit Medical/Healthcare facilities as scheduled by Project Director
    • Meet with Case Management Department and other healthcare provider staff and address transportation issues that may arise or concerns
    • Investigate issues that healthcare providers or transportation providers may encounter as a result of transportation requests and file appropriate reports
    • Attend meetings with healthcare providers and/or transportation providers
    • Assist with inspections of transportation provider’s vehicles and driver files
    • Investigate complaints and file appropriate responses to agency, individual members, and transportation providers


    Skills and Knowledge Required:

    • Knowledge of Federal transportation guidelines
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

    Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

    • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

    • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

    • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
