  • Overview

Transdev is a global transportation service provider with operations in public transit, private transit, and new transportation services like autonomous vehicles. Our DNA is about connecting people to help them get to work, see loved ones, and help them get around their communities. We are looking for a Product Manager on Safety and Trust who brings exceptional creative, analytical, and infrastructure skills to build, drive forward, and scale best-in-class products. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and passionate Product Manager to innovate and execute quickly (but smartly) from our Los Angeles office.

The Product Manager role will focus on being partners in crime with engineers, helping to ensure they have time and information to code from start to finish. The PM is on the front line making sure critical information is shared, while noise is kept to a minimum. This requires the PM to be fluent in both technology and the language of product.

The PM is responsible for managing the pipeline for both consumer facing and non-consumer facing internal systems, including those built from the ground up by Transdev engineers, existing 3rd party legacy systems, and new 3rd party systems. The PM is expected to dive deep into the technologies and distributed systems with details. The PM is also required to run a scrum team and manage backlogs, and prioritize work for the engineers.

    Product Development:

    • Analyze, document, and design complex logic and translate business and system requirements/goals into technical solutions so the engineering team knows what each system is and will do.
    • Manage complex technical integrations with new 3rd party applications and systems at all stages - inception, design, development, deployment and subsequent improvements

    • Successfully partner with engineers to quickly and efficiently release products
    • Manage multiple projects with shifting and competing priorities
    • Act as scrum-master and running sprint planning meetings

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
    • 3+ years of experience in software product management
    • Experience shipping multiple products in a scaled agile software development environment
    • Solid understanding of systems architecture, design, and implementation
    • Ability to explain complex messages in easily understandable language
    • Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done
    • Combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle

     Pre-Employment Requirements:

    • Must submit to drug testing and a criminal background check

     Physical Requirements:

    • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
    • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
    • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
    • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
