    Compass Transportation has become one of the largest B2B transportation providers in the Bay Area over the past ten years. In the upcoming year we will be offering a new electric zero emissions solution as well as an on demand solution to complement our commuter offering. As a result, we are looking for someone who has the ability to manage and improve our existing operations and develop new processes to help support our new service lines.

    As a Safety Associate (Summer Employment) you will gain hands-on experience to gain professional skills and knowledge. The Safety Associate will assist the Safety Manager in impacting the safety culture at Compass Transportation.


    • Assist with the Safety Observation implementation of Processes, Software, policies and protocols impacting the culture of safety at Compass Transportation.
    • Assist in developing documentation management for company’s various Safety Systems-- Upload safety documentation to drive metrics involving safety.
    • Support/assist in review of safety written programs
    • Conduct departmental safety auditing as assigned
    • Perform job hazard analysis reviews
    • Support and assist in online safety training
    • Assist in updating and monitor the corrective actions for incidents & accidents etc.
    • Assist in monitoring safety work orders. 
    • Update various OSHA Requirements, Environmental Requirements, and refresher trainings impacting the organization.


    • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Basic office skills such as filing and faxing
    • Professional demeanor
