    Mechanic Technicians Needed in Leesburg, VA

    Salary $20.00/hr. to $25.00/hr and a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

     

    Transdev is seeking ASE Certified A, B, and C Technicians for the Commuter Transit Facility servicing the Leesburg, VA – Washington, DC areas.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform coach vehicle maintenance compliant with Transdev standards.
    • Inspects, diagnoses, services and/or repairs all assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
    • Ensures accurate upgrades and/or modifications on vehicles, road calls, and on-the-road repairs as needed.
    • Installs equipment, engines, hoses, batteries, tires, wheels/brakes, HVAC, wiring, etc., to meet specifications. 
    • Service, repairs, adjusts, and tests machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.
    • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • Have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
    • Previous maintenance experience with various types of heavy duty transit equipment.
    • Must be able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
    • Must be able to obtain a CDL upon time of hire.
    • Must possess the appropriate Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification and skill level.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills with ability to read, interpret safety documents, blue prints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.
    • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
    • Have the ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including background and a drug test.

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear.
    • Frequently required to sit.
    • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; and smell.
    • Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds.
    • Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a damp environment with moderate noise.
    • May be exposed to water, fumes, and chemicals.
