Overview

IntelliRide is a division of Transdev North America and is in the business of operating Medicaid/Non-Emergency Medical Transportation and ADA Brokerages and Call Centers.  The COO's main responsibilities include but are not limited to, delivering operational and financial goals, developing budget and strategy, developing business leads, converting leads into new business/renewal; maintaining strong understanding of competitor market; work as a project leader in the development of the proposals; providing oversight and guidance on the IntelliRide contracts; providing guidance and leadership to the General Managers of the IntelliRide Division.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops annual operating and business plans and manages financial budget in keeping with the strategic plan.
  • Implements and monitors policies, standards, operating procedures, and long-range objectives.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the functional and operations management.
  • Continuous and constant tracking of prospects.
  • Conduct research on when contracts are coming up for bid and begin contacting clients in advance.
  • Obtain information related to the contract prior to the RFP.
  • Build strong relationships with client, unions and politicians.
  • Collect information on competitors pricing for bids, especially those that are lost by competitors.
  • Managing various functional departments and requests for information such as, staffing, benefits, maintenance, etc.
  • Understand the needs of the clients and deliver appropriate solutions.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-12 years of related experience in a General Manager capacity or higher level.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws.
  • Thorough understanding of any operating issues.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Medicaid, ADA and other laws relevant to non-emergency medical transportation, brokerage and paratransit transportation as well as operation of call centers.
  • Ability to deal effectively with state and local government.
  • Ability to manage cost controls and financial/budget(s) across multiple locations.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details.
  • Ability to work effectively with labor; including labor grievances and negotiations.

Travel requirement (as a percent): 50% travel between properties, for meetings and training.

 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Drug testing and background check.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
