The Pricing Analyst will participate in the proposal development process with focused support for the preparation of the pricing component using economic analysis. Bid pricing responsibilities will be the main focus of this position.

 

Between active proposal developments, this position may assist in other related projects as directed. Project work will be conducted throughout the year including planning, process/control change tracking and implementation, issue resolution tracking and testing execution.

 

Responsibilities

 

Pricing  Analyst Responsibilities:       

 

  • Reports to the Assistant Vice President, Bid Pricing.
  • Data input for base bid model assumptions
    • Comparative budget information
    • CBA information
    • RFP and addendum information
    • FOIA information from past bids
  • Bid Model maintenance – assist in updating and improving the efficiency and accuracy of the bid model.
  • Integration with Controllers
    • Assist in budget construction, especially in first year after new contract.
    • Track and facilitate communication of contract changes that impact costs – Run cuts, service changes, staff changes, changes in fleet makeup, legal/regulatory changes, etc.
  • Scheduling
    • Assist in scheduling pricing calls.
    • Manage communications between pricing and finance for each bid.
      • Insure Controllers have timely information to review bids
      • Insure Pricing has timely feedback
      • Insure timely BD workbook inputs – risk pages, workbook notes, consistent archiving of models and client pricing communications.
  • Research
    1. Assist in individual bid research – CPI, fuel pricing, taxes, current provider FOIA information, etc.
    2. Assist in executive special projects – tracking of competitor pricing, bid trends, bid versus actual analysis, other as needed.

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in management, finance or accounting.
  • Knowledge of Finance basics.
  • 2 years' experience in an analytical position.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with all departments within company.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify all cost elements within often complex requests for proposals
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple firm deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong creative business writing skills are essential
  • Advanced organizational, problem solving, analytical and financial skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • In-depth knowledge of Excel.
  • Transit experience helpful but not necessary
