We are seeking an accounts payable clerk to join our growing team. This individual will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and process of accounts payable transactions.   He/she will report directly to the Senior Accountant.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Duties and responsibilities include:

    Accounting area:

    1. Verify invoices through 2-way or 3-way match.
    2. Coding invoices.
    3. Update and maintain vendor database.
    4. Able to process and enter up to 200-300 invoices a week.
    5. Reconcile vendor statements.
    6. Prioritize work load for any rush items.
    7. Maintains accounts payable files.
    8. Special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. 2+ years experience in accounts payable.
  3. Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  4. Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  5. Eye of detail, accuracy is imperative.
  6. Able to meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  8. Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  9. Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
  10. Experience and proficiency with Oracle Financials, JD Edwards, or comparable accounting system.   Experience with payroll recordkeeping systems..
  11. Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency and skills including pivot and v-lookups.
  12. Must be able to multi-process and handle tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  13. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
