Overview

The Assistant Corporate Controller is responsible for the monthly reporting of B2G, B2C and B2B divisions. There will be a primary focus on Transdev's TOD division. This includes ensuring that all accounting data are accurate and entered timely in the Group reporting tool. This position would also require to review and centralize over time processes for reporting that are currently handled separately for B2G, B2C and B2B.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a Finance shared services organization across all North America business 
  • Contribute to the roll-out of the Group Finance core model and core system
  • Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role eg. AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting
  • Support VP Corporate Finance for communication with parent Company financial department;
  • Prepare local audited consolidated financials for Transdev North America including footnotes;
  • Collaborate with Shared Services center to obtain required data and ensure that shared services center processes are effective;
  • Prepare high level unaudited consolidated financials on a quarterly basis;
  • Primary contact for auditor’s documentation including support for audit of Group reporting and local consolidated financials;
  • Oversee the cash management of the Company including cash projections and monitoring cash activities;
  • Monitor account receivable collection, provide regular analysis of overdue receivables to management;
  • Analyze and approve all accounts payable payments, work with shared services department to optimize accounts payable process;
  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls for Corporate departments
  • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns
  • Work consultatively with the respective corporate departments on cost reduction initiatives
  • Payroll approval for corporate departments

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related Finance field. CPA

 

 

Experience:

Field and years of experience required:

  • Minimum 6 years Finance experience required.
  • Public accounting experience in Big four strongly preferred.
  • Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of complex assignments

 

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Expert level knowledge of IFRS and GAAP finance and accounting standards
  • Knowledge of internal control testing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication presentation and leadership skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with an accounting software

 

Skills and Knowledge Preferred:

  • Prior Leadership / supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrate significant knowledge of organizations technologies, business practices, issues faced and problem resolution
